Been together for too long?
No, we started a journey long ago,
we had agreed to walk together,
we had agreed to talk together,
we promised to love one another,
we promised to care for each other.
Been together for too long?
No, we agreed to sing the same song.
Now, though many years have passed,
through many mountains and valleys
we held on to God and each other steadfast,
ask us and we’ll tell you it hasn’t been easy.
